Stripe Connect Disclosure
How payments to your business work when you connect Stripe through Frabo: who holds the money, who verifies you, and who you deal with when something goes wrong.
This policy forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, the Frabo OS Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Capitalised terms used but not defined in this policy have the meanings given in the Terms. Where mandatory law applicable to you confers greater rights, those rights prevail. The summary above is provided for convenience only. Nothing herein constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice.
Section 1 — Stripe Services Agreement
1.1 Payment processing services for owners on Frabo are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"), available at https://stripe.com/connect-account/legal. By agreeing to the Terms or continuing to operate as an owner on Frabo, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time.
1.2 As a condition of Frabo enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Frabo accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Frabo to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.
1.3 Frabo is not a party to the Stripe Services Agreement and is not responsible for Stripe's performance of it.
Section 2 — Account Creation and Verification
2.1 Onboarding. When Customer selects "Connect Stripe", Frabo creates a Stripe Express account for Customer's business and directs Customer to Stripe's hosted pages to complete it. Stripe — not Frabo — collects and verifies Customer's identity, business details, and bank account, as required of payment service providers by law.
2.2 Enablement. The account is able to accept payments only once Stripe confirms that charges and payouts are enabled and that Customer's details are complete. Stripe may request additional information, or restrict the account, where its verification requires. The Service displays Stripe's requirements but cannot override Stripe's decisions.
2.3 Visibility. Customer may view its balance, payouts, and payment history at any time in its Stripe Express dashboard and in the Service under Money.
2.4 Frabo Verified Badge. The Service shows a "Verified business" badge only while Stripe reports all of the following for the account: a business type of company, nonprofit or government entity that is not a sole proprietorship; onboarding details submitted; a company tax ID provided; no company, representative, owner, director or executive requirement currently due, eventually due, past due, rejected or pending verification; charges enabled; and no restriction in place or scheduled (no disabled reason and no past-due future requirement). It shows a "Verified sole proprietor" badge only while Stripe reports an individual or sole-proprietorship account with no restriction in place or scheduled and no identity re-verification outstanding, and either Stripe Connect has verified that individual, or Stripe Identity has verified a government ID and selfie whose name and date of birth match the individual or representative on the Stripe account (and Stripe Connect has not reported that individual as unverified). Frabo does not verify documents itself; it shows the badge on the basis of Stripe's reported result, with the date Frabo recorded it, and stores only the requirement names and flags Stripe reports, not the underlying personal or company information. The badge is removed automatically when Stripe's reports no longer meet these conditions. Buyers see only the badge level and that date. The badge is not an endorsement, guarantee, or credit assessment of the seller by Frabo or Stripe.
Section 3 — Flow of Funds
3.1 Direct Charges. When a customer pays one of Customer's invoices through a Frabo pay link, the charge is created directly on Customer's Stripe account. Customer is the seller and merchant of record. The funds belong to Customer from the moment of payment; Frabo never holds, pools, or transfers them into any Frabo account.
3.2 Fees. Stripe's processing fees for such payments are charged by Stripe to Customer's account at Stripe's published rates. Frabo does not currently charge a platform fee on Customer's payments. Frabo shall provide advance notice before introducing any such fee and shall display the fee before any affected payment is made.
3.3 Settlement. Card payments generally confirm immediately. Bank (ACH) payments may take several business days to clear, and the Service marks an invoice paid only upon Stripe's confirmation that the funds have arrived.
Section 4 — Payouts
4.1 Stripe pays Customer's balance to Customer's bank account on the schedule configured on Customer's Stripe account. Customer may also request a payout through the Service, which requires Customer's approval and a recent sign-in before the request is transmitted to Stripe. A payout is recorded as complete only upon Stripe's confirmation that it has been paid.
4.2 Instant payouts, where available, are subject to an additional fee charged by Stripe.
Section 5 — Refunds, Disputes, and Negative Balances
5.1 As seller, Customer is responsible for refunds and disputes concerning its customers' payments. Customer issues refunds through Stripe and responds to disputes through Stripe before the applicable deadline. The Service records both and displays dispute deadlines on the Today screen. See the Refund Policy and the Dispute Policy.
5.2 If refunds, disputes, or fees cause Customer's Stripe balance to become negative, Stripe may recover the deficit from future payments or from Customer's bank account in accordance with the Stripe Services Agreement.
Section 6 — Data
6.1 Frabo receives event notifications from Stripe concerning Customer's account — payments, refunds, disputes, payouts, and account status — through signed webhooks whose signatures Frabo verifies before acting. Frabo uses this information solely to maintain Customer's records, display account activity, and prepare actions Customer approves. Stripe's processing of Customer's information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Section 7 — Discontinuation
7.1 Customer may cease using Frabo pay links at any time. Customer's Stripe account belongs to Customer's business and retains its own history; Customer may request its closure from Stripe. Payments already made, and associated refunds and disputes, remain with Customer's Stripe account under the Stripe Services Agreement.
Section 8 — Contact
Questions concerning payments in the Service: [email protected]. Questions concerning the Stripe account itself should be directed to Stripe support through the Express dashboard.
